This half day workshop with Stephanie Quirk runs on Saturday 28 February 2026, 1.00-5.00pm. There will be a short break mid afternoon.

We will be looking into the complex region of the body that is a meeting, a convergence of many bodily systems, the main structures that gives us stability as well as mobility. It is the seat or base of the spinal column as well as the outlet of the sacral plexus, it is the container of the gestation of life. This whole region is the locus of the apana vayu. In the yogic tradition the apana vayu is the downward-moving vital energy, governing all forms of elimination (physical, mental & energetic). It promotes grounding, stability, and release. It controls excretory functions like urination, defecation, menstruation, and childbirth, as well as the release of stale thoughts, emotions, and toxins.

The main requirement will be curiosity and the willingness to examine through experimentation.

Suitable for teachers, and equally for students who have been practicing regularly for the past two years.

This is a hybrid event...available for attendance in studio or online.

All registered students will have access to the recording for two weeks after the workshop.
